About Bite a Bagel
Bite a Bagel is a family owned and operated bagel store EST. 2015, featuring authentic NY bagels, variety of homemade flavored cream cheese, and made to order grilled breakfast and lunch sandwiches. We do not use a microwave to cook your breakfast sandwich! Our bagel dough is not made on premise, but is shipped in from NYC itself! We then proof overnight, season and steam bake them fresh every morning on site. For lunch we serve Boars Head™ meats and cheeses made to order along with daily specialty bagel sandwiches. We look forward to serving the community and bringing St. Augustine a taste of NY. We appreciate your business and thank you for supporting small businesses!

Been about a year since coming here. Used to be our favorite bagel go to spot. Would go at least once a month. Not sure what took us so long to come back but now that I have I’m shocked at the difference. (and not for the good) First, it is 95 degrees out. It was like a sauna in the store. I asked if their air conditioner was out figuring that can happen to anyone, but no, this is their normal. Told the air is actually working but can’t keep up with the ovens?? Now I’m no expert in heating and cooling but NO WAY that’s the issue. It was cooler to sit and eat outside in the July heat. Besides it was around 11:30am so doubt they were baking much at that time. The poor workers looked so hot and miserable and still tried to put out friendly smiles. 2nd their bagels have changed. Very doughy and thinner. Husband had same concerns, wasn’t toasted and had no firmness at all, compressed together when bitten. Not at all what I remembered. Mine was also not toasted as I asked it to be. Also the drink fountain (but for water) was out of order. I am sad as this was such a great little spot. The food overall wasn’t bad it just didn’t give me a reason to want to come back. I also discussed bring

First time visiting and it was packed! Great flavor options - I had a delicously spicy ghost pepper bagel with my Brooklyn breakfast sandwich to go. There was a little mix up with the order, and when I came back in Addie remembered me and got everything sorted out kindly, quickly, and correctly despite how busy and hot it was in the shop. 5+ star customer service.

My favorite bagel place! The bagels here are made fresh throughout the day, although they do sell out often. They are very busy on the weekends, so I'd recommend ordering ahead through the phone (not answered on there weekends due to the amount of customers, but you can place orders days ahead) or online. The staff are super helpful and friendly. My favorite order is an asiago bagel toasted with veggie cream cheese. I also like the onion bagel BEC! There's three tables with four chairs each inside, which can fill up fast. The store is clean, the staff are attentive, and the food is incredible! They do catering as well, and even often donate the leftover bagels to charities or schools. It's a small business, and I love to support them! Pros: Delicious food, many options. Clean store, fun New York theme (bagel dough is straight from NYC). Lovely kind staff, good prices for the area, and just incredible service. Cons: Can get very busy, especially on the weekend, but that's how you know it's good! Wait times can be long for grill items when busy as well. Things sell out fast when busy, get there early.

This is the best bagel spot in town. Not even close. Their bagels are fresh and the breakfast sandwiches are amazing. Always great, friendly service here. Their jalapeño cheddar bagel is the best I’ve ever had. Very unique in that it’s crumbled, burnt jalapeños on top of bagel. Everything I’ve ever gotten from here is on point. Lox, cream cheeses, breakfast platters etc. Really happy to have found this place!

These bagels are light and just magnificent! I drive over 17 miles one way and always wonder why I don’t come more often after a stop. This is the best bagel shop in Florida! Always clean!
